Undercovers is NBC’s new spy drama. Boris Kodjoe and Gugu Mbatha-Raw star in Undercovers as a married couple who own a catering business and are undercover CIA agents. Their cases lead them to cities around the world making their work and marriage lives exciting.
Writer/Producer/Director J.J. Abrams (“Star Trek,” “Lost,” “Alias”) helped create Undercovers along side Josh Reims (“Brothers and Sisters,“What about Brian.”)
Undercovers premires Wednesday September 22nd at 8, following is two hours of another crime show, Law and Order. Competing in the same time slot is ABC’s The middle, CBS’s Survior, CW’s America’s Next Top Model, and FOX’s Lie to Me.
Undercovers is another show reaching the 18-49 adult audience that NBC’s other shows like Parenthood and Marriage Ref are also targeting.
I think Undercovers has a good chance of getting a large audience to watch the pilot episode, not because of the actors or really the exciting storyline, more due to the hype coming from J.J. Abrams. I think it falls in line well with the rest of the Wednesday night NBC lineup, because all the shows are crime related which could pull the Law and Order audience into watch Undercovers. I don’t think it’s competing with a lot of really big shows, I think it’s biggest competitor is Fox’s Lie to me. I think this show is going to be appealing most of NBC’s usual audience and it has a chance to be a successful series.
I think you'll do fine with this show Jill...I just wanted a show that me and my gf can watch cause we watch completly different shows. Plus I like contest shows, exsept for American Idol.
